What is "Gig Miscellany"?

“Gig Miscellany” is a tag for our stories where we write about music in a rambling manner. We coined the tag name by torturing the term “Gig Economy.” It is usually used negatively criticizing companies like Uber for exploiting their “gig” workers. At the same time, however, “gig” refers to a live performance by a musician, reminding us of a one-night-stand way of life. Living fast.

Nothing lasts forever. If you ever have a chance to make a living as a musician, you will find it a “gig” like thing - indulging yourself with the pleasures of the moment. You wouldn’t think you’re gonna make it to, like living up to 70 years old, but you’d surely feel like you’re living your own life.

It’s that feeling that drives us to write a story, which includes the great dichotomy between living an ordinary life and a weird one.
